Selena Gomez selling California mansion after security scares

Singer Selena Gomez is selling the house she bought just last year
Singer Selena Gomez is selling her California mansion after buying it just last year for $3.69 million ($A5.2 million).

The former Disney Channel star faced several security scares since moving into the home, and on one occasion a man was arrested and briefly jailed for trespassing and burglary, TMZ reported at the time.

The home, which was built in 2004, has five bedrooms, six bathrooms and is sprawled across 1.2 hectares.

Described in the listing as an “extremely rare and private compound” that “provides every amenity expected of a luxury estate”, the house has an enviable outdoor entertaining space, with a pool, spa, cabana and outdoor kitchen with a pizza oven.

The listing also offers insight into Gomez’s style, with a tasteful white and cream sitting room with a white grand piano as the centrepiece

One of the living spaces has been tastefully decorated with a white and cream palette.
The spacious “master retreat”, with gaudy bright purple walls, has its own sitting area, bathroom and huge walk-in closet.

In case the 7786-square-foot home wasn’t big enough, across from the main house is a quaint guest house with its own kitchen, bathroom and terrace.

The master bedroom has its own sitting area and huge walk-in closet.
Gomez is hoping to make a nice profit from her home, with the home listed on the market for $4.5 million.

The 23-year-old pop star previously lived a 20-minute drive away in the LA neighbourhood of Tarzana, until she sold her home to Australian rapper Iggy Azalea and her basketballer beau Nick Young.
