One Direction's Harry Styles knows the best way to get ready for a date in LA - hang out poolside with your buddies as you soak up the sun and soak up a few cocktails at the same time.

Just prior to his Friday evening out with new squeeze, Kendall Jenner, the 19-year-old Brit spent an afternoon poolside at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel with pals Pixie Geldof and Alexa Chung.

Harry spent over three hours by the pool with his two buddies and another girl as they sipped cocktails while every so often posing for photos and signing an autograph for a fan.

Arriving in a purple tank-top and cut-off shirt, Harry soon enough threw that off to wander around the pool topless before eventually removing his torn-at-the-knees jeans and wrapping a towel around his Calvin Klein underpants.

Pixie and Alexa were slightly more covered up, however, as the girls wore shorts and tops as they kept Harry entertained.

After three hours cavorting about, it was time for Harry to go and get ready for his big night out with Kendall at a concert from reunited rockers The Eagles. It wasn't just the two of the, however, it was a hang-out-with-the-Kardashian-family night.

The new couple was seen cuddling - their first public display of affection - at the Eagles concert in LA with not just the model's half-sister Khloe, 29, but also her mother Kris, 58, and several friends, including Chelsea Handler.

The mannequin and the musician were spotted by a fan - who posted snaps of them to Twitter - getting very close, confirming they are far more than friends.

At one point the One Direction heartthrob had his arm around the reality star. They also seemed to be whispering in each other's ears as he stood behind her.

At another point, Harry took a photo with a fan, confirming that was indeed him at the concert. Kendall was also seen exiting the venue with her mother at the end of the night.

At the SAG award arrivals, comedian Kathy Griffin said she was standing next to the couple.

He was canoodling with her,' the star offered, before admitting she stole the singer's jacket.

Interestingly, the cover girl and her momager were wearing nearly identical black motorcycle jackets.

Kendall paired hers with ripped jeans, a white shirt and black strappy heels. Her thick brunette hair was worn down and she had her makeup beautifully applied.
