Chelsea trained in Washington, DC ahead of their Guinness International Champions Cup semifinal match against AC Milan. |
Chelsea gave all 6 players who competed at the Confederations Cup a run out. Both goals came in the first half through Oscar and Eden Hazard from the penalty spot. Inter's hopes of a second half comeback were ruined when they went down to 10 men after Hugo Campagnaro was sent off.
So Chelsea now play AC Milan in the semifinals at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford. Inter have a consolation semifinal against Valencia who were beaten 2-1 by Milan in their match.
The final takes place in Miami Gardens, Florida, and Mourinho could face another one of his former teams if Real Madrid match Chelsea's result.
But it's all leading up to the big Premier League kickoff against newly promoted Hull City on 18th August. After finishing 3rd last season, can the Mourinho effect take them even higher?
