With Victoria Beckham in New York for fashion week and Gordon Ramsay away on restaurant business, their other halves took it upon themselves to join up and take their kids for a Friday night meal.

David brought his sons Brooklyn, 13, Romeo, 10, and Cruz, 7 - Harper was in the States with her mother - while Tana's four kids Megan Jane, 14, 12-year old twins Jack Scott and Holly Anna, and Matilda Elizabeth, 10, accompanied their mother to the Tamarind Restaurant in London.

Also joining their party were the Paris Saint-Germain player's parents Sandra and David senior.

Urban: Cruz wore a 90's style puffer jacket with high top trainers
Casual: David and his family looked laid-back and stylish for their evening of Indian cuisine
The friendly familIies enjoyed Indian cuisine at the award-winning restaurant located in the heart of Mayfair.

Model behaviour: Romeo wears a classic trench coat from the Burberry collection he is now the young face of
Very much a low-key get together, both the Beckham and Ramsay clans wore casual, yet stylish outfits, with young Burberry model Romeo rocking one of the British heritage brand's classic trench coats.

Growing up: Brooklyn looks more like David everyday, and now could be following in his dad's footsteps after being scouted for Chelsea FC's academy
Style wars: While Romeo opted for a preppy look, Cruz's style seemed inspired by the streets

David's love affair with flat caps continued, this time, sporting a dark brown colour to go with his velvet jacket, dark jeans and tanned suede brogues.

The footballer held onto his youngest son, Cruz's hand, who wore a 90's style puffer jacket with high top trainers for the meal out.

While a growing Brooklyn looked ever more like his father David, although his red hoody, jeans and plimsolls combination showed a more laid-back side to his style personality compared to his fashion-conscious dad.

Posh-a-like: Tana's dark brunette hair and Birkin handbag gives the impression that Victoria has become a bit of fashion influence for the food writer
The two families have been friends for more than a few years now, but their relationship will now expand into a business partnership as David and Gordon have announced they will be opening a restaurant together.

The restaurant will be located near London's Borough Market and is set to open in September.

The grandparents: Victoria's mum and dad, Tony and Jackie Adams, joined their son and grandkids for the meal on Friday evening
Called Union Street Café, Gordon says the menu will change daily and focus on 'Mediterranean-influenced food'.

What a treat: Matilda and her older brother Jack have grown up with the Beckham boys ever since their parents became friends years ago
'We're really excited to be opening Union Street Café in September and it's great that David wants to come on board,' he said.

'We've been working on the new site, which is near Borough Market, for the past couple of years and the amazing large warehouse space will offer quality Mediterranean-influenced food with a daily changing menu.'
