One Direction's fashion magazine takeover

In their quest for world domination, British boyband One Direction have now conquered the hearts of many a glossy magazine editor.

In the two years since One Direction came to fruition on the X Factor , the highly-coiffed quintet have triumphed in the charts, become the first ever British band to go straight to number one in America and conquered the hearts of many a teenage girl - and older women, if tabloid reports are to be believed.
Not normally such late adaptors, it looks like the fashion pack are indulging in a slice of 1D this Christmas as the photogenic fivesome have bagged starring roles on the December covers of no less three style titles.

Cosmopolitan named Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson its Ultimate Men of the Year (is this a good time to point out that their median age is 19?), and rewarded them with a group cover. Grinning (in Louis's case) and smouldering (that'll be handsome Zayn) in slim-fitting suits, the Kardashian sisters might have snagged the alternative cover option for Cosmo December, but 1D are the first all-male cover stars in the 40 year history of the magazine.

And while style maven Alexa Chung told British Vogue the band remind her of a "box of puppies at Christmas - each one more adorable than the next" in a 10-page spread co-starring British model Edie Campbell, Wonderland magazine took that thought more literally. The mag captured the chart toppers in soft focus, wearing colourful knits and each holding a Labrador worthy of an Andrex campaign. "Obsessed" is the accompanying tag-line.

Vogue editor Alex Shulman describes the boys as a "manufactured confection, slick and winning" in the editor's letter of the 'Pop' themed December issue, while Teen Vogue USA awarded each of the lads their own cover for Christmas.

Now the influencers of the print world have given their blessing to these rather wholesome teeny-boppers, all that's left to decide is who's your favourite?
