Carefree Kellan Lutz gives girlfriend Sharni Vinson a trolley playful ride in a shopping cart

Go cart fun: Kellan Lutz gave girlfriend Sharni Vinson a ride in a pharmacy shopping cart at a Los Angeles mall earlier today

It seems even a trip to the local pharmacy can prove to be a fun day out for Kellan Lutz and his actress girlfriend.

After leaving the CVS store in Los Angeles on Tuesday morning, the Twilight actor lifted Sharni Vinson into a shopping cart and pushed her around the parking lot, much to her delight.

The 28-year-old Australian star shrieked with laughter and held onto her wide brimmed red hat as Lutz, 26, wheeled her along to their car.

The muscly actor will have had no trouble lifting Vinson into the cart - she once revealed that he can do push ups with one hand holding her.

Lutz looked casual in a blue checked shirt, blue baseball cap and jeans, while Vinson sported a white top and striped shorts.

Playful relationship: The couple, who have been dating a year, looked as loved up as ever as they larked around in the parking lot

Vinson, who starred as Cassie Turner in popular Australian soap Home and Away, met Lutz during a chemistry run through for film Step Up 3D.

And he has been effusive in his love for the actress and model, recently telling People:  'Sharni's personality and mine very much complement each other, and we connect on every level.

'She has a big personality so we have great conversations and laugh so much. I'm never fake with her, and it makes our relationship so easy. It's all about being honest.'

Light as a feather: Kellan Lutz had no trouble lifting up his extremely slim girlfriend
In the past Kellan, who's dated Ashley Greene and AnnaLynne McCord, used to pretend to be into bands he didn't like in order to impress women.

'I was in this one relationship where I told her things about myself that wasn't really me,' he said.

'I've become more mature when it comes to women and relationships. My M.O. now is to be who I really am and not be fake in order for a girl to like me back.'

Last year, he also told Ryan Seacrest about his relationship on the presenter's KIIS-FM radio show: ''She's a happy person, which really just clicks with me. It's just great to have someone you can smile with all the time. It's really special,' he said.

Touchy feely: The loved up couple couldn't take their hands off each other as they left the store

This November, Lutz will be seen for the last time in the guise of vampire Emmett Cullen in Twilight: Breaking Dawn: Part II.

He recently revealed he wasn't a fan of the screenplay for the first instalment of the Twilight Saga which was released back in 2008.

'I didn’t like the script,' he admitted to Document Journal. 'How scary would a glimmering vampire really be? It just doesn’t make sense.'
