Lucy Mecklenburgh wearing a fake version of a Victoria Beckham dress

Copy cat: Lucy looked superb in the imitation frock but, Victoria Beckham wore her own design better
As a cast member on The Only Way Is Essex, it is pretty normal for her to be called fake, amongst other things.

However, Lucy Mecklenburgh could have been given the label for her choice of outfit rather than her attitude, today.

The 20-year-old turned up for a day of filming in Loughton, Essex, wearing a dress that looked very similar to a Victoria Beckham creation.

Lucy showed off her amazing figure in a tight fitting orange dress that featured cross back straps and clung to her in all the right places.

Although the cut of the imitation frock was not as well executed as the original, Lucy still managed to pull it off and looked superb.

The tangerine dress, which she teamed with a pair of wedges, is popular with many stars and Jennifer Lopez is just one celebrity to have worn it in the past.

It is highly unlikely that fashion designer Victoria will be impressed with the Essex clientele wearing blatant copies of her ideas though.

It is not the first time that a TOWIE star has done this as Sam Faiers also opted for a cheaper alternative to a £495 Beckham creation earlier this year.

Sam wore a kooky cat print dress, which cost £110, and appeared to have a gaping area on the bust line.

Lucy was a little overdressed for what appeared to be a casual shopping trip in Lydia Bright's Bella Sorella boutique store at around 2pm.

Lydia, 21, was seen discussing something with the tall brunette that brought a small scowl to her face and made her furiously cross her arms.

Shop owner Lydia looked lovely in a green vintage style dress and was joined later by Bobby-Cole Norris who arrived casually in jeans and a T-shirt.

After completing filming Lucy showed that she is not yet a diva and drove herself home rather than jumping in a chaffeur driven car.

There was no sign of her Italian fiance Mario Falcone who she recently admitted to trusting completely despite their tumultuous relationship.

Speaking to OK! magazine in a joint interview she said: 'We completely trust each other.'
