Lady Gaga Forced to Cancel Show in Indonesia (5 PICS)

Lady Gaga has sparked tons of controversy on the Asian leg of her “Born This Way Ball” tour … first in South Korea, and now in Indonesia.

The “Americano” singer was forced to cancel her June 3rd show in Jakarta, because she was denied a permit. Hard-liners and conservative lawmakers said her sexy costumes, suggestive dance moves and “vulgar” style could corrupt the nation’s youth. Some critics even threatened to use physical force to prevent Gaga from getting off her plane.

“She’s a vulgar singer who wears only panties and a bra when she sings and she stated she is the envoy of the devil’s child and that she will spread satanic teaching,” said Salim Alatas, the Jakarta head of hardline Islamic Defender Front (FPI). “This is dangerous.”

Indonesia, which has the world’s largest population of Muslims, was to be the biggest stop on the Asian leg of her tour — she had sold all 52,000 tickets for the Jakarta show; most of them within the first two hours they were on sale.

Gaga’s Asian tour started last month. Gigs in South Korea
were 18-and-over, because conservatives in that country also raised objections over the concert’s content.

Meanwhile … this week in Tokyo, where she was not banned, she recycled an outfit from two years ago: the famous meat dress.

You probably remember her first beefy ensemble, designed by Franc Fernandez, which she wore during the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards.

At the time, Gaga insisted that she meant absolutely no disrespect to anyone.

“It is certainly no disrespect to anyone that is vegan or vegetarian,” she told Ellen of her original meat dress. “As you know, I am the most judgment free human being on the earth.”
