Woman will sue PepsiCo, new ad printed her phone number (2 PICS)

Identity crisis: Shipra Seth plans to sue PepsiCo after receiving hundreds of calls from punters thinking she's Katrina Kaif

Mistaking her for Katrina Kaif, hundreds of people call and text her every day - some with messages full of awe and some full of malice and abuse.

A numerical error in a soft drink advertisement campaign has cost an ailing Gurgaonbased woman her peace.

To promote their mango soft drink, PepsiCo launched a new ad campaign a few days ago.

People discovered a phone number printed on the wrapper and called the number.

Instead of connecting to actress Katrina, the number led them to Shipra Seth, an IT professional living at Sushant Lok.

Seth said the Airtel number that she got in January was printed in the advertisement.

Punters responding to the PepsiCo advert featuring Katrina Kaif (pictured) were put through to Shipra Seth instead
Harassed by the calls, Seth has now planned to file a criminal suit against PepsiCo. In its clarification, PepsiCo said: 'It has been brought to our notice by a consumer that her number has been erroneously printed under the label of a Slice bottle as part of the ongoing 'Katrina Ka Number Label Ke Under' promotion.

We are probing the case and have initiated action to resolve the case at the earliest.'
