Hungarian ‘baby doll’ Barbara Palvin is the new face of L’Oréal Paris

She’s worth it!

AT just 18, Hungarian model Barbara Palvin is the latest sensation in the world of fashion and will be joining the L’Oréal Paris group of ambassadors which already includes Beyonce Knowles, Claudia Schiffer, Freida Pinto, Gwen Stefani, Hugh Laurie, Jane Fonda, and Patrick Dempsey.

Palvin has penetrating big blue eyes, fresh angelic and captivating beauty, and bold and individual character. She has graced the catwalks of the world’s top designers and posed for many top photographers.

At 171cm (5ft 7.5in) tall, Palvin will now be pronouncing L'Oréal's famous slogan, “Because we're worth it.”

“She lights up the catwalks with her irresistible baby-doll style, and surprises us all with her energy, her sense of humour and her maturity. I am thrilled to be welcoming her to the big family of L’Oréal Paris ambassadors,” says Cyril Chapuy, global brand president of L’Oréal Paris.

Palvin, born on Oct 8, 1993, was first talent-spotted at her home city of Budapest when she was 13. Her runway début at 16 was during the Milan Fashion Week in Italy, for Prada. Since then, she has modelled for a wide range of designers such as Louis Vuitton, MiuMiu and Nina Ricci.

In recent years, she stamped her mark in the fashion world and appeared on the covers of L’Officiel, Russian Vogue, Hungarian Glamour, French Elle and the Korean Harper’s Bazaar.

“All this is a bit like a fairy tale. I’m very excited about the prospect of joining the L’Oréal Paris family, alongside huge, iconic celebrities such as Stefani and Schiffer,” says Palvin.

“I love using cosmetics, and I’m delighted to be chosen as the face of Rouge Caresse, a modern and ultra-sensual take on a lipstick which is young, fresh, delicate and ideal to enhance my different looks. I have a very personal vision of beauty, which is closely aligned with the brand’s modern approach!”
